When I landed my first full-time position at a newspaper I was told by my editor that one of the big reasons why I got my interview was because I interned at The Muskegon Chronicle. The assignments were no different than any other paper I had worked in.
It was the photo team who helped us interns feel like a family more than anything. I’ve always felt fortunate for the opportunity to work alongside Ken Stevens, Kendra Stanley Mills, Cory Morse, and Greg Dorsett. Over the last 24 hours
I’ve seen so many other former interns express the same gratitude for having the chance to work with Ken and these wonderful people. Ken truly was like no other. Michigan lost a great photographer yesterday but mostly the kindest soul you would have ever met.
